IT'S A FEST! 2020 Cancelled
(Tuesday, May 12, 2020 - 4:45pm)
We are very sad to announce that we have decided to officially cancel IT’S A FEST! 2020. We’ve spent the last few months doing everything possible to make sure that IAF! would be back for its second year despite the COVID-19 outbreak. With the number of new cases significantly dropping and social distancing measures being loosened here in Korea, things were looking very hopeful. Unfortunately, with the new cluster outbreak that happened last week, the strict government regulations that followed, and the major public outcry against reopening clubs, we feel like we have no choice but to cancel this year’s festival.
Obviously, we are extremely disappointed that IT’S A FEST! won’t be happening this year. Organizing last year’s festival was the culmination of a life-long dream for us. Seeing something of that size come together through the work of the local underground music community and with the financial support of local music fans was absolutely amazing. This year, even more people came forward willing to volunteer to help make the festival happen. That’s what DIY is all about, and even though this year hasn’t ended the way we wanted, this is not the end of IT’S A FEST! The festival will return in 2021 with another fantastic weekend to showcase all our favorite bands in the underground scene!
Anyone who made a reservation for a cottage, room, or bungalow, along with anyone who ordered an IAF! merchandise package, will be receiving a full refund. We will be contacting everyone in the next few days to get your bank information to issue the refunds. We will return your money as soon as possible, but we ask for your patience as we do so.
Thanks again to everyone who has helped during the last 2 years. We look forward to seeing you back and Hanagae Beach next year!
